We will ask you to complete a consent form and complete the payment nearer the time once groups and numbers are finalised.JERSEY WATER SPORTS - (Daily activities in Jersey)
This is a very popular activity coordinated by Mr Livesey in conjunction with Absolute Adventures. Coasteering, kayaking, blokarting, stand up paddle boarding & wakeboarding or water-skiing are among the activities on offer. There will also be a RIB tour of Jersey’s southwest coast and a BBQ prize giving ceremony to finish! Based in St Brelade’s Bay.
POWERBOATING – (Daily activities in Jersey) - New for 2019
New to De La Salle this year. The most popular RYA qualification obtained nationwide every year.
Designed for the novice with limited experience, PB2 engrains the knowledge and confidence by taking an official and internationally recognised qualification. The PB2 course is ideal for those wanting to be able to skipper their own or a friend’s boat safely and confidently, and to gain a broader understanding of power boat handling, safety and techniques. In addition to this we will offer a first aid certificate so that your son is safe and confident on the water this summer. This activity may not run if not enough people choose it!
JERSEY SEA AND ROCK – (Daily activities in Jersey + overnight)
Activities include – Rock climbing, abseiling, an evening hike, canoeing, coastal traversing and survival skills. The week also includes one overnight stay at the Egypt Canoe Club Campsite. This is a DLS activity coordinated by Mr Sharrock and supported by Wild Adventures and Jersey Kayak Adventures.
SURFING COURSE – (Daily surfing with Splash Surf Centre)
A must for all surfers and watersports lovers! Managed by Mr Rodgers in conjunction with Splash Surf Centre. The boy’s activities will include Surfing skills from beginner to advanced, surf lifesaving, beach and surf safety, surf technique analysis. During periods of no surf the boys will be taken stand up paddle boarding, coasteering and inflatable rides at St Brelade. Equipment will be provided.
BEGINNERS GOLF – (Daily golf activities at Les Mielles Golf Course)
An introduction to Golf coordinated by Mr Cook. Activities include – Learning different aspects of the game from skills and shots to etiquette and course management. All Equipment will be provided. Cost may vary if numbers are low.
NAVIGATION WALKS – (Daily activities around Island)
Daily walking activities from the college or a planned meet point to visit a site of interest around the island, before returning to school. Activity may not run if numbers are low.
